Avocado Toast
Reasons I love this way of making avocado toast:
- No dishes!
- You get an egg on your toast without having to make one separately!
- The egg is stuck to the bread, which makes it easy to eat!
- The egg and toast are both perfectly done!
Ingredients
- One slice of bread (I use sourdough)
- One egg
- Olive oil
- Mashed avocado
- Salt & pepper
- Toppings - e.g. red pepper flakes, everything bagel seasoning, pickled red onions, herbs
Directions
- Line your toaster oven baking sheet with foil.
- Put the bread on the foil-lined sheet & punch the center down a little bit.
- Drizzle or brush the bread with olive oil
- Crack the egg into the divot in the bread (the divot keeps the egg from sliding off the bread).
- Season with salt & pepper
- Bake in the toaster oven at 375ºF for 10 minutes
- Let it sit in the toaster oven for a minute-ish to finish cooking
- Spread the avodado on top of the egg, leaving a hole at the yolk for cuteness reasons
- Top the way you like - I use red pepper flakes & everything bagel seasoning usually. At the very least salt the avocado a bit
