PL's Space

This is going to be all about food for now.

Intro to me / what you will find here: I have a special interest in food but also struggle to cook for myself as an everyday thing. Restaurants (at least around me) are getting worse & more expensive - the nice ones are forgettable and the cheaper ones are not worth it. This (plus allergies) means that cooking at home is really the only option for me now. I can and have hyperfocused to complete a super fancy 12 course meal. My knife skills are not good and show no hopes of improving. Cooking smells are typically overwhelming for me. I'm slowly figuring out my own recipes & shortcuts that are feasible for me so I can contriubte to everyday meals & not just special occasions. This is a space for my recipes, obsessing about fancy food, tips for everyday & special occasions, kitchen appliances & tools that are worth it (or not), and any other thoughts I have about food & cooking.

Romantic 12 Course Meal at Home

All of my tips for doing your own 12 course meal, because we realized this makes for a better date than a fancy meal out

Tea Party

We go to a tea shop that doesn't serve food and bring our own! It's a great way to get a tea party experience when anywhere that serves food has a disclaimer that they absolutely do not accomodate your particular allergy.

Holiday Meal

This is the standard holiday meal for me. I historically ate this for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I Really Miss 2010s Veggie Burgers

This is my quest to recreate some of my favorite 2010s veggie burgers that I can't get in stores any more. I might add non-veggie-burger-veggie-protein recreations here as well -- I went to college in a hippie town that had lots of classic veggie options (e.g. seitan lunch meat) that I can't get where I live now.
